Hi, I’m Joyce, a Tokyo-based portrait and family photographer specializing in natural light, outdoor photography for families, couples, and travelers visiting Japan.
Joyce is a Tokyo-based mother of two who photographs natural outdoor sessions and helps travelers plan comfortably in English, Mandarin, and Japanese.

Born in Taiwan and raised in California, Joyce later moved to Japan over a decade ago. Living across cultures shaped how she sees people, relationships, and everyday life, and that perspective deeply influences her photography.
Her journey with photography began in high school with a first film camera. Over time, it became a way of preserving memory and noticing the small, honest moments that often matter most.
That purpose became even clearer when her eldest son was diagnosed with leukemia. Living through uncertainty strengthened her belief that photographs are not about perfection, they are about presence.
Today, Joyce photographs family sessions, couple portraits, and lifestyle stories in Tokyo with a calm, natural approach for local families and international visitors.
